Good evening everyone at the 16th Miyukino snow-theatre international film festival 2024! My name is Tanja Jääskeläinen, Ambassador of Finland to Japan. It’s a great pleasure to send my greetings to you again this year. Three excellent Finnish short films: “Tuulikki” by Teemu Nikki, “Hair like waterfalls” By Tomi Malkki, and “Nun or Never” by Heta Jäälinoja will be screened on a beautiful snow screen. In addition to the films you can enjoy discussions between the director, producer and high school students. Watching films is one of the best ways to understand different cultures beyond boarders and time. I really hope you can really “feel Finland” during the festival and perhaps have a chance to visit and experience Finland in the future.
